The Programa Fazendo Justiça (Program Fazendo Justiça), coordinated by the National Council of Justice (CNJ, the Portuguese acronym) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), helps drive transformations in the field of deprivation of liberty. Within the penal justice system, it supports the implementation and monitoring of the Plano Pena Justa (Fair Sentencing Plan), developed to address the unconstitutional conditions of Brazilian prisons following a ruling by the Supreme Court (STF, the Portuguese acronym). In the juvenile justice system, it provides technical support to the Agenda da Justiça Juvenil (Juvenile Justice Agenda), CNJ's strategy to strengthen the management of juvenile justice measures and expand educational, cultural, and vocational opportunities for adolescents and young people.
